The UFC continues to add fights to UFC on FS1 #1 in Boston as Brad Pickett will face Michael McDonald in a bantamweight bout and Ovince St-Preux meets Cody Donovan in a light heavyweight bout.
Both fights where announced by the UFC on Tuesday night and the bout between Pickett and McDonald could take place on the main card portion of the fight card.
UFC on FS1 #1 takes place from the TD Garden in Boston on August 17th and will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout as Chael Sonnen meets Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
Pickett (23-7) has won three of four since being defeated in his UFC debut and he is coming off a fight of the night split decision victory over Mike Easton at UFC on FUEL TV 9. McDonald (15-2) opened his UFC career with four straight wins before being defeated by Renan Barao earlier this year at UFC on FUEL TV 7.
St-Preux (13-5) has won ten of his last eleven fights with the only lost coming to Gegard Mousasi in Strikeforce. He has won back to back fights and won his UFC debut against Gian Villante by technical majority decision. Donovan (8-2) was signed by the UFC in late 2012 and defeated Nick Penner by TKO in the first round. He took the fight on nine days notice and it was his fourth straight victory.
Tickets for UFC on FS1 #1 are expected to go on sale next week and the current UFC on FS1 #1 card is below:
