Patricky Pitbull vs. Derek Anderson booked for Bellator 98

A lightweight bout has been added to the season nine debut of Bellator MMA on September 7th as Patricky Pitbull will face Derek Anderson. Bellator 98

The fight booking was initially reported by Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting and Bellator MMA Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney confirmed the bout to TheMMAReport.com on Friday.

Bellator 98 takes place on September 7th from the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and will be headlined by Alexander Shlemenko defending the Bellator middleweight title against Doug Marshall.

Pitbull (10-4) has been in Bellator since 2011 and was a finalist in the season four lightweight tournament. He was scheduled to be in the lightweight tournament earlier this year, but a hand injury forced him out of the tournament.

Anderson (9-0, 1NC) will be making his Bellator debut in this fight and all of his wins have come by stoppage with six of those being by submission. He has six wins coming in the first round and has only gone to the third round once in his career.
