This past saturday’s World Series of Fighting 4 event which was televised live on the NBC Sports Network featured Tyrone Spong defeating Angel DeAnda via unanimous decision.

As first reported by MMA Junkie and since confirmed by Nielsen, the preliminary overnight ratings (which will fluctuate since it was a live event) for the World Series of Fighting 4 ratings hit 264k total viewers. Note, this is a not a peak number, just the overnight average.

That total is over 25% higher than its most watched event ever which was World Series of Fighting 2, which hit only 210k total viewers.

Honestly, these are really good numbers since this was arguably the lowest marketed event in the World Series of Fightings short history and also buried on a random Saturday night in the summer. Not to mention, the tough late-night time-slot meant the main event didn’t even end till well into the 1 a.m. EST hours.  All in all, the WSOF and NBC brass should be very pleased with this increase.
