Bellator 100 Medical Suspensions and Drug Test Results

Bellator 100 took place last month at the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, Arizona and eight of the fighters on the card received a medical suspension including headliners Douglas Lima and Ben Saunders. Bellator 100 #2

The Arizona Boxing and MMA Commission released the suspensions to TheMMAReport.com on Tuesday after they were requested.

The Bellator 100 main card was headlined by the season season welterweight tournament final as Lima defeated Saunders by knockout.

Lima and Saunders were among five fighters that received a medical suspension of sixty days. Along with being suspended for sixty days, Lima will need to get clearance from an orthopedic doctor for a right hand injury.

Along with requesting the medical suspensions, TheMMAReport.com requested the drug test results from the commission. Arizona Boxing and MMA Commission Executive Director Dennis O’Connell stated that no fighter was suspended due to a drug test result.

The complete Bellator 103 medical suspensions are below.

  • Ben Sanders – 60 days (KO)
  • Douglas Lima – 60 days with orthopedic clearance of right hand
  • Herman Terrado – 60 days with orthopedic clearance of left thumb
  • Sergio Junior – indefinite until echocardiogram clearance
  • Brandon Bender – 30 days (TKO)
  • Bubba Jenkins – 60 days (TKO) with clearance from neurologist for concussion
  • Beau Tribolet – 60 days (KO)
  • Johnny Buck – 30 days (TKO)
