Following his win over Mirko Cro Cop last month in Russia, Oleksiy Oliynyk has been signed by the UFC and he will meet Jared Rosholt at UFC on FOX 10.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Saturday and the bout will placed on the preliminary card.
UFC on FOX 10 takes place on January 25th from the United Center in Chicago and will be headlined by a lightweight bout as former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson meets former Strikeforce lightweight champion Josh Thomson.
Oliynyk (48-9-1) is currently on a nine fight winning streak and submitted Cro Cop at Legend MMA in Russia last month. His last four wins have come by submission, including a first round victory over former Strikeforce fighter Dion Staring.
Rosholt (9-1) made his debut with the UFC last week and defeated Walt Harris by unanimous decision. It was his fifth straight win and three of his wins during his recent winning streak have been by decision.
