After making his UFC debut as a featherweight, Aaron Phillips is dropping down to the bantamweight division and will meet Matt Hobar at UFC Fight Night 49 on August 23rd in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The fight booking was recently added to the official fight card.
UFC Fight Night 49 will come from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 23rd and will be headlined by a lightweight bout as former champion Benson Henderson meets Rafael dos Anjos.
Phillips (8-1) opened his career with eight straight wins before being signed by the UFC earlier this year. His promotional debut came at UFC 173 last month and he was defeated by Sam Sicilia.
Hobar (8-2) also made his UFC debut last month and he was defeated by Pedro Munhoz at The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 Finale. The defeat snapped a three fight winning streak and both of his career defeats have come by TKO in the first round.
