Josh Burkman out of WSOF 11 with an elbow injury

Josh Burkman was scheduled to meet Jon Fitch in the co-main event of next month’s World Series of Fighting 11, but an injury has forced him out of the fight. WSOF 11 Poster

Burkman tweeted on Wednesday that is out out of the fight with a hyper extended elbow and will be out of action for 4-6 weeks.

World Series of Fighting 11 will come from the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida on July 5th and will be headlined by Justin Gaethje making his first lightweight title defense against Nick Newell.

With Burkman withdrawing from the welterweight bout, the World Series of Fighting is searching for a new opponent for Fitch and an announcement on a new opponent should be announced shortly.
