UFC officials announced the change on Friday.

UFC 177 will come from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on August 30th and will be headlined by a title rematch as TJ Dillashaw will defend the UFC bantamweight title against the man he beat to become champion, Renan Barao.

Jackson (9-0) is coming off a submission win against UFC alum Leonard Garcia last month and it was his six career win to come by submission. His last three wins have come in Legacy FC and all of his wins in the Texas based promotion came by submission.

Medeiros (9-2, 1NC) is winless in his last three fights and all of those fights have come in the UFC. He is coming off a technical submission defeat at UFC 172 against Jim Miller and his last win came in 2010 in Strikeforce as he defeated Gareth Joseph by knockout.
