UFC 178 will take place next month at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be headlined by Demetrious Johnson defending the UFC flyweight title against Chris Cariaso.
During Thursday’s Nevada Athletic Commission meeting, the commission booking Herb Dean as the referee for the fight, along with appointing Sal D’Amoto, Marcos Rosales, and Glenn Trowbridge as the judges for the fight.
The September 27th event in Las Vegas will mark the fourth UFC pay-per-view in 2014 that is being held in Las Vegas and Dean was the referee for the main event in the three other shows this year in Las Vegas.
