A heavyweight bout has been added to the UFC on FOX 13 card on December 13th in Phoenix as Alistair Overeem will meet Stefan Struve.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on late Wednesday evening.
UFC on FOX 13 will come from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona and the main event for the fight card is expected to be announced shortly by the UFC.
Overeem (37-14, 1NC) has dropped three of four since winning his UFC debut against former champion Brock Lesnar. His most recent defeat came earlier this month as he was knocked out at UFC Fight Night 50 against Ben Rothwell.
Struve (25-6) was scheduled to return to the octagon earlier this year at UFC 175 against Matt Mitrione, but he passed out in his locker room and the fight was scratched. Just like Overeem, he will enter this fight following a defeat as he lost to Mark Hunt last year.
