The co-main event of next week’s Titan FC 30 was scheduled to be a heavyweight bout between Walt Harris and Dave Herman, but a back strain suffered by Harris has forced the fight to be delayed until November.
Titan FC CEO Jeff Aronson gave details on the injury to TheMMAReport.com on Wednesday in an interview that will air on Friday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast.”
“Walt Harris got a back strain and was not going to be able to fight,” Aronson said. “I was going to bring in someone else to fight Dave Herman and that did not work. Both Dave and Walt have agreed to fight in November in Augusta, Georgia and we are deciding right now between a heavyweight title fight or a regular fight. We are making that decision as we speak.”
With Harris and Herman off next week’s card, the co-main event of Titan FC 30 will be a bantamweight bout as Ultimate Fighter 18 alum Anthony Gutierrez meets UFC veteran Walel Watson.
Titan FC 30 will come from the Cedar Park Center in Cedar Park, Texas next Friday night and will be headlined by Jason Brilz meeting Vinny Magalhaes for the inaugural light heavyweight title. The main card will air on the CBS Sports Network and the prelims will be streamed on CBSSports.com.
