The main event of UFC on FOX 13 is now official as former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos will meet Stipe Miocic in a matchup that was previously scheduled for earlier this year.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Friday evening.
UFC on FOX 13 will come from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona and tickets for the event go on sale October 10th.
Dos Santos (16-3) was scheduled to face Miocic in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 Finale, but a hand injury forced him out of the fight. This will be his first fight since losing the UFC heavyweight title to Cain Velasquez in October of last year.
Miocic (12-1) is currently on a three fight winning streak and ended up defeated Fabio Maldonado at The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 Finale in May. Eight of his wins have come by TKO/KO and is 6-1 in the UFC.
