The UFC 177 Preliminary Card on Fox Sports 1 took place this past Saturday and featured Derek Brunson getting a decision win over Lorenz Larkin in a middleweight bout.
According to Nielsen sources, the UFC 177 preliminary overnight viewership number for the preliminary card landed at 436,000 viewers and this is the lowest viewership for a pay-per-view preliminary card on Fox Sports 1 in 2014.
The previous low for a UFC pay-per-view preliminary card in 2014 on Fox Sports 1 was 697,000 for UFC 173 and the lowest viewership for a pay-per-view preliminary card in 2014 came in March for UFC 171 with 305,000 viewers on Fox Sports 2.
Obviously, the viewership was hurt by the beginning of college football last weekend as the prelims went up against two major games as Florida State beat Oklahoma State on ABC and LSU came from behind to beat Wisconsin on ESPN.
