UFC officially announces new fight bookings for UFC Fight Night 57, including Yves Edwards vs. Akbarh Arreola

Several new fights have recently been added to the UFC Fight Night 57 fight card including a lightweight bout between Yves Edwards and Akbarh Arreola.

Along with that bout, the UFC recently added Ruslan Magomedov vs. Josh Copeland and Juan Puig vs. Doo Ho Choi to the official fight card on the UFC website.

UFC Fight Night 57 will come from the Frank Erwin Center on the campus of the University of Texas on November 22nd and the event will air live on Fox Sports 1.

Edwards (42-21-1, 1NC) is winless in his last four fights (0-3, 1NC) and his last win came in 2012 against Jeremy Stephens at UFC on FOX 5. His most recent appearance came in June as he was submitted by Piotr Hallmann at UFC Fight Night 42. Arreola (22-8-1) was signed by the UFC earlier this year after winning three straight fights by submission. His promotional debut came at UFC on FOX 12 and he was defeated by Tiago dos Santos.

Magomedov (12-1) has won his last seven fights, including his UFC debut against Viktor Pesta in May. His last four wins have come by decision and four of his six stoppage wins have come by TKO/KO. Copeland (9-0) enters the UFC after winning the RFA heavyweight title and his last two wins have come by TKO in the first round. Seven of his nine wins have come in the opening round and four of those wins have come by submission.

Puig (11-3) came to the UFC earlier this year after being in Jungle Fights and lost his promotional debut to Adriano Martins at The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale. The defeat snapped a six fight winning streak and was his first defeat since 2010. Choi (11-1) is currently on a nine fight winning streak and this will be his UFC debut. His last five wins have come by TKO/KO and this will be his first fight since June of last year.
