Bellator 130 took place on Friday night at the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Kansas and the main card on Spike TV was headlined by Emanuel Newton retaining the Bellator light heavyweight title with a submission victory over Linton Vassell. 
Also on the main card, Bobby Lashley improved to 2-0 in Bellator with a submission victory due to punches over Karl Etherington in the co-main event of the fight card.

- Newton stopped Vassell at the 47-second mark of the final round and this is the second latest stoppage in a Bellator title fight.
- The submission victory for Newton is his third submission in Bellator light heavyweight competition and he is now tied with Mike Mucitelli for most in division history.
- The defeat for Vassell snaps a nine fight winning streak and this is his first career defeat by submission.
- Lashley has won both of his fights in Bellator by submission and he is now tied for second most submission victories in Bellator heavyweight division history.
- With the victory over Etherington, Lashley has won five in a row and this is the second time in his career that he has won five fights in a row.
- Marloes Coenen stepped into the cage for the first time in 468 days and she defeated Annalisa Bucci by submission in the third round.
- Coenen now has sixteen career wins by submission and this is her first victory in 662 days (12/31/12).
- Dave Jansen returned from injury on Friday night and defeated Rick Hawn unanimous decision for his seventh straight win.
- Jansen is now tied with Newton for the longest active winning streak in the Bellator cage and has the second most wins in Bellator light heavyweight division history.
- After going the distance against Jansen, Hawn now has the fifth most cage time in Bellator history (2:31:35).
- David Rickels scored a decision victory over Davi Ramos and he is now tied for the second most wins in Bellator history.
- Sam Oropeza won his seventh fight in a row with a first round victory against Gary Tapusoa.
- Darrion Caldwell improved to 3-0 in Bellator with a decision victory over Anthony Dizy.
