Bellator 127 took place last month at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California and Rob Emerson, Fernando Gonzalez, Keith Berry, and Nick Moghaddam tested positive for banned substances. Rafael Silva VS Rob Emerson

The California State Athletic Commission Executive Director Andy Foster confirmed the drug test results to The MMA Report on Friday morning after they were requested.

Sherdog initially reported the positive drug test results on late Thursday evening.

Emerson tested positive for Modafinil, which according to Drugs.com is used for “improving wakefulness in patients with excessive sleepiness associated with narcolepsy or other sleep disorders. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.”

Gonzalez drug test came back positive for Marijuana, and both Berry and Maghaddam tested positive for Marijuana and Testosterone. The fighters will now be subject to suspensions from the commission and Gonzalez and Berry will have their wins overturned.

Following the news of the positive drug test being released by the California State Athletic Commission, Bellator President Scott Coker released a statement.

I want to make very clear that under new management, Bellator will simply not stand for performance enhancing drugs inside our cage,” Coker said. “We fully support the California State Athletic Commission in their process, and standby any disciplinary action handed out by Commissioner Andy Foster and the CSAC.  Fans, media and our athletes need to have a clear understanding that drug use will simply not be tolerated by Bellator.”
