Bellator announced the first three events of 2015, which include four title fights

Prior to the Bellator 131 fight card on Saturday in San Diego, Bellator officials announced the dates and venues for the first three events in 2015.Emanuel Newton

The 2015 calendar for the promotion will begin on January 16th as Bellator 132 will come from the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California and will be headlined by Patricio “Pitbull” Freire defending the featherweight title against former champion Daniel Straus.

Then on February 27th, Bellator 133 will come from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut and will feature two title fights. In the main event Douglas Lima defends the welterweight title against Paul Daley and Emanuel Newton will defend the light heavyweight title against Liam McGeary in the co-main event. Also on that card, Bobby Lashley will have a rematch against James Thompson and Sokoudjou will meet Linton Vassell.

One month later, the promotion will return to the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma and bantamweight champion Joe Warren will make his first unified title defense against Marcos Galvao.

Tickets for all three events are on sale now and can be purchased on Bellator.com and more information on each fight card will be made available in the coming weeks.
