Joe Lauzon vs. Al Iaquinta slated for UFC 183

A lightweight bout has been added to the UFC 183 fight card on January 31st in Las Vegas as Joe Lauzon will meet Al Iaquinta.

UFC officials announced the fight booking on Wednesday.

UFC 183 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on January 31st and will be headlined by former middleweight champion Anderson Silva facing former Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz.

Lauzon (24-9) has won back to back fights and is coming off a win against Michael Chiesa at UFC Fight Night 50 in September. He is 5-3 in his last eight fights and he has won a fight night bonus in five of those fights.

Iaquinta (10-3-1) is coming off a victory against Ross Pearson at UFC Fight Night 55 and he has also won back to back fights. Both of his recent victories have come by TKO and he has won five of his last six fights.
