An undisclosed injury has forced Jussier Formiga to pull out of his UFC on FOX 13 bout against John Moraga and replacing Formiga in the bout will be UFC newcomer Willie Gates.
The fight change was officially announced by the UFC on Wednesday.
UFC on FOX 13 will come from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona on December 13th and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as former UFC champion Junior dos Santos meets Stipe Miocic.
Gates (11-4) recently win the Tachi Palace Fights flyweight title and is currently on a five fight winning streak. All five of those wins have come by stoppage in the first round and all under two minutes.
Moraga (15-3) has won four of his six fights in the UFC and is coming off a submission win at UFC Fight Night 50 against Justin Scoggins. His submission win over Scoggins was his seventh career victory by submission and his first won since the end of 2012.
