The main event for UFC Fight Night 61 on February 22nd has been announced by the promotion as Glover Teixeira will meet former UFC champion Rashad Evans in a scheduled five round light heavyweight bout.
The fight booking was initially reported by Globo and was made official via the UFC Brazil Twitter account.
Teixeira (22-4) has lost back to back fights after being on a 22 fight winning streak. His most recent defeat came in October at UFC 179 as he lost a decision to Phil Davis and both of his defeats in UFC have come by unanimous decision.
Evans (19-3-1) has been out of action since the end of last year due to an injury. He will enter this fight on a two fight winning streak and is 6-2 in his last eight fights.
