The signing was announced during the UFC Fight Night 58 main card broadcast on Fox Sports 1 tonight.

“I’m back,” Jackson said in a video that played on the broadcast. “You guys have no idea how excited I am to be back. I just want to come back and come to the big show.”

“The thing about Rampage is Rampage always comes to excite the fans. I love the fans and I just want to give them exciting fights. I am excited to be back and my actions are going to speak louder than my words. I am going to show everyone that I am happy to be back. This is where I belong. I belong here and my weight class is going to feel it.”

Jackson (35-11) excited the UFC at the beginning of 2013 and signed with Bellator MMA. He went 3-0 in Bellator and sources close to the promotion told TheMMAReport.com on Friday night that Jackson was still under contract with the promotion. In addition, the same sources stated that Jackson had multiple fights left on his contract.

Following the announcement of Jackson signing a deal to return to the UFC, Bellator MMA President Scott Coker released a statement via his Twitter account to address the situation.

“Let us be clear that Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is under an exclusive contract with #BellatorMMA,” Coker tweeted. “We will protect our contractual rights.”

Jackson is scheduled to appear on Fox Sports Live following the UFC Fight Night 58 fight card and stay tuned to TheMMAReport.com for updates on this developing story.
