World Series of Fighting 16 took place this past Saturday night at the McClellan Conference Center in Sacramento, California on NBCSN and was headlined by Rousimar Palhares retaining the welterweight title with a submission victory against Jon Fitch.
According to Nielsen sources, the preliminary overnight ratings for the World Series of Fighting 16 event reached 181,000 total viewers, which is just about the 179,000 viewers for last month’s World Series of Fighting 15.
Saturday night’s card marked the final event of 2014 for the promotion and was the second straight event to come in under 200,000 viewers. Of course, it should be noted that the last two events went up against other live fight cards from UFC and Bellator.
With the viewership from Saturday, the average viewership for the World Series of Fighting in 2014 on NBCSN finished at 233,000 and this is up from the 2013 average of 193,000.
