WSOF 16 Medical Suspensions: Jon Fitch must be cleared by doctor due to knee injury

The medical suspensions for World Series of Fighting 16 have been released by the California State Athletic Commission and Jon Fitch must be cleared by a doctor to come off suspension due to a knee injury.WSOF 16

The commission sent the medical suspensions to TheMMAReport.com on Tuesday after they were requested.

World Series of Fighting 16 took place from the McClellan Conference Center in Sacramento, California and was headlined by Rousimar Palhares submitting Fitch with a knee bar to retain the welterweight title.

Every fighter on the card received the mandatory suspension of seven days, which the California State Athletic Commission always hands out and the complete World Series of Fighting 16 medical suspensions are below.

  • Rousimar Palhares: 7-Day Mandatory Suspension
  • Jon Fitch: Suspended 180 days and must be cleared by doctor (left ACL/PCL injury)
  • Lance Palmer: 7-Day Mandatory Suspension
  • Rick Glenn: 7-Day Mandatory Suspension
  • Sheymon Moraes: 7-Day Mandatory Suspension
  • Gabriel Solorio: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 40 days (large hemotoma on forehead)
  • Josh Berkovic: Suspended 60 days and no contact for 60 days (laceration left eye)
  • Brenson Hansen: 7-Day Mandatory Suspension
  • Lewis Gonzalez: 7-Day Mandatory Suspension
  • Justin Buchholz: 7-Day Mandatory Suspension
  • Dave Huckaba: 7-Day Mandatory Suspension
  • CJ Leveque: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days (TKO)
  • David Mitchell: 7-Day Mandatory Suspension
  • Justin Baesman: 7-Day Mandatory Suspension
  • Dominic Waters: 7-Day Mandatory Suspension
  • Martin Sano:Suspended 60 days and no contact for 60 days (laceration over left eye)
  • Erick Sanchez: 7-Day Mandatory Suspension
