UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman has suffered a rib injury and his title defense against Vitor Belfort at UFC 184 has been scratched and the event will now be headlined by Ronda Rousey defending the women’s bantamweight title against Cat Zingano.
The fight change was announced by the UFC on Friday evening.
UFC 184 will come from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 28 and the new co-main event of the fight card will be Holly Holm making her UFC debut against Raquel Pennington.
The timetable for Weidman’s return is unknown and the current UFC 184: Rousey vs. Zingano fight card is below.
