A middleweight bout has been added to the UFC on FOX 15 preliminary card as New Jersey’s own Nick Catone will meet Brazilian Vitor Miranda.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Thursday.
UFC on FOX 15 will come from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on April 18 and will be headlined by a middleweight bout as Lyoto Machida meets Luke Rockhold.
Catone (10-4) is coming off a win against Tom Watson at UFC 169 last year and this will be his first fight since that victory. He is 3-2 in his last five and two of those wins have come by split decision. Miranda (10-4) lost his UFC debut to Antonio Carlos Junior in the TUF Brazil 3 heavyweight final and dropped to middleweight following the fight. In his UFC middleweight debut, he defeated Jake Collier by TKO and it was his seventh career win by TKO.
