WSOF welterweight Jon Fitch failed his drug test at World Series of Fighting 16 in December and has been suspended nine months by the California State Athletic Commission.
The news of his failed drug test was initially reported by MMA Junkie and The MMA Report confirmed the failed drug test with California State Athletic Commission Executive Director Andy Foster.
While the substance has not been disclosed by the commission, reports have stated that Fitch had elevated levels of testosterone. In addition to the suspension, Fitch was fined $2,500 and he does have the ability to appeal the suspension.
Since the news of the positive drug test was revealed, Fitch or the World Series of Fighting has not released any comments.
