Omari Akhmedov replaces an injured Alan Jouban, meets Brian Ebersole at UFC Fight Night 68

Alan Jouban has been pulled out of his UFC Fight Night 68 bout against Brian Ebersole due to an elbow injury and taking his place in the bout will be Omari Akhmedov.

UFC officials announced the change on late Thursday evening.

UFC Fight Night 68 will come from the Smoothie King Center on June 6 and will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout as former title challenger Daniel Cormier meets Ryan Bader.

Akhmedov (14-2) has won two of his three fights in the UFC and is coming off a decision win at UFC 182 against Mats Nilsson. Eleven of his wins have come by stoppage and six of those have come by TKO/KO. Ebersole (51-16-1, 1NC) defeated John Howard in September by split decision and the victory snapped a two fight losing streak. It was his first win since 2012 and he is 5-2 in the UFC.
