On Monday morning, the Albuquerque Police Department sent the police report of the incident to The MMA Report after it was requested. According to the police report, a Silver SUV ran a red light and hit another car. The driver of the SUV initially ran from the scene on foot and later came back to grab a “hand full of cash.”
When officers arrived on the scene, they attempted to find the driver of the SUV and were unsuccessful. While searching the SUV, they found paperwork that the SUV was rented to Jones. In the SUV, the police officers found a marijuana pipe with marijuana inside. They attempted to call Jones and he has not returned their phone calls at this time.
The officers on the scene were later contacted by an off duty police officer that stated he witnessed Jones exit the SUV and run “up a dirt hill.” He explained the clothes Jones was wearing and eventually lost sight of him after Jones ran back to the SUV.
UPDATE (Mon – 4 p.m. ET) – The Albuquerque Police Department have announced that the women involved in the car accident suffered a broken arm and they are in the process of placing a warrant for the arrest of Jones. He will be charged with a felony of leaving a scene of an accident.
