A women’s bantamweight bout that was in the works earlier in the week is now official as Holly Holm will meet Marion Reneau on the main card of UFC Fight Night 71.
The fight booking was made official on Thursday.
UFC Fight Night 71 will come from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California on July 15 and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as former UFC champion Frank Mir meets Todd Duffee.
Holm (8-0) won her UFC debut in February as she defeated Raquel Pennington by unanimous decision at UFC 184. It was only her second career win in MMA by decision and her six other wins have come by TKO/KO. Reneau (6-1) is currently on a five fight winning streak and two of those wins have come in the UFC. He most recent win came in February as she defeated Jessica Andrade by triangle choke submission.
