A flyweight bout has been booked for The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale in Las Vegas as Willie Gates will meet Darrell Montague on the preliminary card.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Thursday evening.
The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on July 12 and will be headlined by a welterweight bout as Jake Ellenberger meets Stephen Thompson.
Gates (11-5) lost his UFC debut at the end of last year when he lost to John Moraga at UFC on FOX 13. The defeat snapped a five fight winning streak and eight of his career victories have come by stoppage. Montague (13-4) has dropped both of his fights in the UFC and his last defeat came against recent title challenger Kyoji Horiguchi. Prior to entering the UFC, he had won four in a row and three of those wins came by stoppage.
