A welterweight bout has been reportedly added to the UFC 190 card on August 1 in Brazil as Demian Maia will meet Neil Magny in a bout that could be placed on the main card.
The fight booking was reported by Tatame on Monday and the matchup has not been announced by the UFC at this time.
UFC 190 will come from the HSBC Arena on August 1st and will be headlined by Ronda Rousey defending the UFC women’s bantamweight title against Bethe Correia.
Maia (20-6) has won back to back fights and is 5-2 since dropping down to the welterweight division. Both of his recent wins have come by decision and he is coming off a victory in March against Ryan LaFlare. Magny (15-3) is currently on a seven fight winning streak and he has won a performance of the night bonus in his last two fights. His most recent victory came last month as he defeated Hyun Gyu Lim by TKO.
