A welterweight bout has been added to the main card of WSOF 22 on August 1 as Abubakar Nurmagomedov will meet Jorge Moreno in a matchup of fighters making their promotional debuts.
The fight booking was announced by the WSOF on Thursday.
WSOF 22 will come from the Axis Theatre inside Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas on August 1 and will be headlined by a title fight as Rousimar Palhares defends the welterweight title against Jake Shields.
Nurmagomedov (9-1) is the younger brother of UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov and all of his victories have come by stoppage. Nine of his ten fights have ended in the first round and he is coming off a TKO win against Vladimir Gunzu. Moreno (4-1) is currently on a three fight winning streak and three of those wins have come by finish. His most recent win came in Febraury as he submitted Mike Devose.
