Flyweight Geane Herrera has signed with the UFC and he will make his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 73 when he meets Ray Borg.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Monday evening.
UFC Fight Night 73 will come from the Bridgestone Arena on August 8 and will be headlined by former title challenger Glover Teixeira meeting Ovince Saint Preux meeting in a battle of top ten UFC light heavyweights.
Herrera (8-0) is coming off a TKO win in April against Josh Rave at RFA 25 and six of his eight wins have come by stoppage i the first round. Five of his six stoppage wins have come by submission and all of those submissions have come in under three minutes. Borg (8-1) has won back to back fights after losing his UFC debut against Dustin Ortiz. Both of those wins have come by submission and his most recent win came against Chris Kelades at UFC Fight Night 60.
