The alternate bout for the upcoming Bellator one-night, four-man light heavyweight tournament has been announced as Francis Carmont will meet Philipe Lins on September 19 at Bellator 142: Dynamite.
The fight announcement was made by Bellator on Friday.
Bellator 142: Dynamite will come from the SAP Center in San Jose, California on September 19 and will be headlined by a title fight as Liam McGeary defends the light heavyweight title against Tito Ortiz.
Carmont (23-10) made his Bellator debut earlier this year and defeated Guilherme Viana by unanimous decision. The victory snapped a three fight losing streak and was his first victory since 2013. Lins (9-1) was a semifinalist during the 2014 Summer Series light heavyweight tournament and is 2-1 in Bellator. This will be the first fight for Lins since the tournament due to a knee injury suffered in the semifinals.
The bracket for the one-night, four-main light heavyweight tournament will be announced tonight during the Bellator 141 main card broadcast on Spike TV and the current Bellator 142: Dynamite fight card is below.
