The second professional fight for flyweight Devin Ward will take place tomorrow night in Kingsport, Tennessee as he will be facing Michael Whaley at APEX Fights 10.
Ward won his pro debut in September of last year when he submitted Brandon Grimmett in the first round at Valor Fights 26. On Tuesday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Ward talked about how he wants to show he is more than a submission guy and would like to show off his hands tomorrow night.
“I want to be known as a guy that should be dangerous everywhere,” Ward said. “On the feet and on the ground. Most of the time when I hit my opponents, they clinch up with me and initiate the takedown to the ground. I do hit hard for a 25’er so I would like to showcase that in this fight for sure.”
