Luis Palomino drops to featherweight, meets Sheymon Moraes at WSOF 31

Former WSOF lightweight title challenger Luis Palomino is dropping down to the featherweight division at WSOF 31 as he will meet former WSOF bantamweight title challenger Sheymon Moraes.

The fight booking was announced by the promotion in a press release on Tuesday along with John Howard vs. Thiago Meller and Chris Barnett vs. Justin Willis.

WSOF 31 will come from the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut on June 17 and will be headlined by a title fight as Blagoy Ivanov defends the heavyweight title against Josh Copeland.

Palomino (24-12) is returning to the 145 pound division and is coming off a TKO defeat at WSOF 25 against Brian Foster in the semifinal of the one-night, lightweight tournament. He is 3-3 in the WSOF and all of those wins have come by knockout. Moraes (8-1) will enter this fight following a TKO win against Robbie Peralta in December and is 2-1 in the promotion. Five of his eight wins have come by TKO/KO and two of those wins have come in the first round.
