Alex Caceres steps up on short notice to meet Cole Miller at UFC 199

With B.J. Penn out of next week’s UFC 199 due to a potential anti-doping violation, Cole Miller will now meet Alex Caceres on the televised preliminary card on FS1.

The new fight booking was announced by the UFC on Wednesday evening.

UFC 199 will come from The Forum in Inglewood, California on June 4 and will be headlined by a title fight rematch as Luke Rockhold defends the UFC middleweight title against former UFC champion Chris Weidman.

Caceres (11-8, 1NC) returned to featherweight at the beginning of the year and defeated Masio Fullen by decision at UFC on FOX 18. Miller (21–9, 1NC) is coming off a no-contest against Jim Alers at UFC on FOX 17 in December and he is 2-1, 1NC in his last four fights.
