Michael McDonald vs. John Lineker booked as co-main event of UFC Fight Night 91

The co-main event of UFC Fight Night 91 will be a bantamweight bout as former UFC title challenger Michael McDonald will meet John Lineker.

The fight booking was announced on tonight’s episode of UFC Tonight on FS1.

UFC Fight Night 91 will come from the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on July 13 and the event will be headlined by a lightweight bout between Ultimate Fighter winners as Tony Ferguson meets Michael Chiesa.

McDonald (17-3) returned to competition at the beginning of the year and defeated Masanori Kanehara by submission at UFC 195. It was his first fight since the end of 2013 and he is 2-2 in his last four fights. Lineker (27-7) is currently on a four fight winning streak and his last two wins have come in the UFC bantamweight division. His most recent win came last weekend at UFC 198 as he defeated Rob Font by decision.
