Ratings Report: Episode 5 of TUF 23 draws 361k viewers in preliminary ratings

The fifth episode of The Ultimate Fighter 23 premiered last night on FS1 and the show featured Lanchana Green moving into the semifinals of the women’s strawweight tournament with a decision victory over Helen Harper.

According to Nielson sources, the show drew 361,000 viewers in the preliminary ratings (Live+SD) and this is up 7 percent from last weeks viewership of 336,000 viewers in the preliminary ratings. In comparison to episode 5 of last spring’s season of the UFC reality show, Wednesday’s episode is up 6 percent from episode 5 of The Ultimate Fighter 21 (340,000).

When it came to the sports competition on cable, the night was won by the NBA Western Conference Final between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors. That game drew an average audience of 7.573 million and the NHL Eastern Conference Final between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Tampa Bay Lighting had 1.752 million viewers.

The +3 DVR viewership for Wednesday night’s episode on The Ultimate Fighter 23 will be released by Nielson on Tuesday and in the fourth episode, the viewership went up 68 percent from the preliminary ratings (Live+SD) to the +3 DVR number.
