UFC 198 took place this past weekend at the Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil and the televised preliminary card on FS1 featured Demian Maia winning his fifth straight fight with a submission victory over Matt Brown.
According to Nielson sources, the two hour televised preliminary card on FS1 averaged 786,000 viewers and the peak of the broadcast came in the 9:45-10 p.m. ET quarter hour with 985,000 viewers. The viewership from the UFC 198 prelims led FS1 to the top spot among all cable sports networks in viewership and in the Adult 18-49 demographic between 8-10 p.m. ET.
The UFC will return to FS1 on Memorial Day Weekend for UFC Fight Night 88 on Sunday, May 29 and the event will be headlined by a bantamweight bout between Thomas Almeida and Cody Garbrandt.
