With Julia Budd injured, Marloes Coenen meets Alexis Dufresne in non-title fight at Bellator 155

An undisclosed injury has caused Julia Budd to pull out of her inaugural Bellator women’s featherweight title fight at next week’s Bellator 155 against Marloes Coenen and with Budd out of the event, Coenen will now meet Alexis Dufresne in a non-title fight.

The fight change was announced by Bellator in a press release on Tuesday.

Bellator 155 will come from the CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho next Friday night and will be headlined by a title fight as Rafael Carvalho defends the middleweight title against Melvin Manhoef.

Dufresne (5-2) is making her Bellator debut and will be looking to snap a two fight losing streak. All of her wins have come by stoppage, with three of those victories coming by TKO/KO. Coenen (23-6) has won both of her fights in Bellator by submission. Her most recent win came in August as she defeated Arlene Blencowe by armbar submission at Bellator 141.
