Darrion Caldwell vs. Joe Taimanglo headlines Bellator 159 on July 22 in Kansas

The next title challenger in the Bellator bantamweight division will be determined on July 22 in Mulvane, Kansas as Darrion Caldwell will look to remain undefeated as he faces Joe Taimanglo in the main event of the fight card.

The fight booking was announced by Bellator in a press release on Wednesday and the promotion also announced that David Rickels will meet Melvin Guillard in the co-main event of the fight card.

Bellator 159: Caldwell vs. Taimanglo will come from the Kansas Star Arena and tickets will go on sale Saturday, June 4 at Ticketmaster.com and KansasStarEventCenter.com.

Caldwell (9-0) just signed a new contract with Bellator and is coming off a win against former Bellator champion Joe Warren. Four of his six wins in Bellator have come by submission and all of those submission wins have come in the opening round. Taimanglo (22-6-1) is currently on a three fight winning streak and is coming off a decision win against Sirwan Kakai. he is 13-2 in his last fifteen fights and eleven of his twenty-two career wins have come by submission.
