A featherweight bout has been announced for the Bellator 157: Dynamite 2 event in St. Louis on June 24 as Justin Lawrence will meet Isao Kobayashi.
The fight booking was announced by Bellator in a press release on Friday.
Bellator 157: Dynamite 2 will come from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri and will be headlined by a catchweight bout of 215 pounds as Quinton “Rampage” Jackson returns to the promotion to meet Satoshi Ishii.
Lawrence (8-3) is coming off a split decision lost against Emmanuel Sanchez at Bellator 145 and he has gone 1-1 in Bellator. Prior to the lost to Sanchez, he had won four in a row as his last defeat came in 2013 against Daniel Pineda at The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale. Kobayashi (18-3-4) lost his Bellator debut last year against Goiti Yamauchi and he is 2-2 in his last four fights. Ten of his eighteen wins have come by stoppage as eight of them have come by TKO/KO.
