Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza talks about knee injury, timetable for return and UFC middleweight division

Top middleweight title challenger Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza is coming off a stoppage victory against Vitor Belfort at UFC 198 and is currently recording from a knee injury he suffered one week before his fight against Belfort.

When Chris Weidman initially pulled out of the UFC 199 main event, the UFC called Jacare first to step up to face Luke Rockhold. However, the knee injury he is currently recovering from did not allow him to compete so Michael Bisping got the title shot.

Souza (23-4, 1NC) was in attendance last night at UFC 199 and spent some time with the media in attendance. He talked about his knee injury, timetable for his return from that injury and everything going on in the UFC middleweight division.
