Anderson Silva steps up on two days notice to face Daniel Cormier at UFC 200 in non-title fight

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will remain on the UFC 200 card on Saturday in Las Vegas as former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva is stepping up on two days notice to meet Cormier in a three round, non-title fight.

The news of Silva stepping up to take this fight was initially reported by Combate on late Thursday afternoon and UFC President Dana White confirmed the fight booking on late Thursday evening.
