Dana White says Michael Bisping will defend middleweight title against Dan Henderson

The first title defense for UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping will come later this year as he will have a rematch against Dan Henderson and the fight could be taking place in Manchester, England.

UFC President Dana White announced the plans on the UFC 200 post fight show on FS1 on Saturday night.

“We’re going to do Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping,” White stated on the post fight show. “It’s a fight that the champ wants. It’s a fight that the fans want. We’re thinking about doing it in Manchester, England. But that’s not signed yet.”

Bisping (29-7) won the UFC middleweight title last month when he defeated Luke Rockhold by knockout at UFC 199. It was the fourth straight victory for Bisping and he will be looking to even up the score against Henderson, who defeated him by knockout at UFC 100 in 2009. Henderson (32-14) is coming off a knockout win against Hector Lombard and recently signed a new contract with the UFC. He has gone 2-3 since returning to middleweight and is 2-1 in his last three fights.
