Robbie Lawler: I’m not trying to out-do my last performance

UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler will return to the octagon on Saturday night at UFC 201 as he will defend the 170 pound title against Tyron Woodley in the main event of the fight card coming from the Phillips Arena.

Lawler (27-10, 1NC) is currently on a five fight winning streak and is 8-1 since returning to the UFC in 2013. This will be his third title defense and his previous title defenses have led the American Top Team fighter to win the Fight of the Night bonus. With how his last two fights have gone, is he looking to top those performances on Saturday night when he meets Woodley?

“I’m not trying to out-do my last performance, I’m just trying to be a better fighter each time I go out there,” Lawler said on UFC Tonight. “It’s all about being more strategic and getting a finish.”
