The medical suspensions for The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale have been released by the Nevada Athletic Commission and Claudia Gadelha is among the fighters facing a potential six month suspension.
The commission released the medical suspensions on Monday and the suspensions were forwarded to TheMMAReport.com after they were requested.
The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale took place this past Friday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and was headlined by Joanna Jedrzejczyk retaining the UFC women’s strawweight title with a decision victory against Gadelha.
The complete Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale medical suspensions are below:
- Claudia Gadelha: Must have right thumb x-rayed to rule out fracture or no contest until 01/05/2017; Minimum suspension no contest until 08/23/16 and no contact until 08/08/16.
- Andrew Sanchez: Suspended until 08/23/16 and no contact until 08/08/16.
- Thiago Tavares: Suspended until 09/07/16 and no contact until 08/23/16.
- Andrew Holbrook: Suspended until 08/23/16 and no contact until 08/08/16.
- Fernando Bruno: Must have MRI or x-ray of left knee if positive then clearance from Orthopedic Dr or no contest until 01/05/17; Minimum suspension until 09/07/16 and no contact until 08/23/16.
- Josh Stansbury: Suspended until 08/23/16 and no contact until 08/08/16 (left scalp laceration).
- Cory Hendricks: Suspended until 08/23/16 and no contact until 08/08/16 (bridge of nose cut).
- Cezar Ferreira: Must have left foot x-ray to rule out fracture or no contest until 01/05/2017; minimum suspension until 08/23/16, no contact until 08/08/16.
- Jake Matthews: Suspended until 08/08/16 and no contact until 07/30/16.
- Anton Zafir: Suspended until 08/23/16 and no contact until 08/08/16.
