Former bantamweight title challenger Urijah Faber will be returning to the UFC octagon in September as he will meet Jimmie Rivera at UFC 203.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Tuesday.
UFC 203 will come from the Quicken Loans Arena and will be headlined by a title fight as Stipe Miocic defends the UFC heavyweight title against Alistair Overeem.
Faber (33-9) is coming off a decision lost against current UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz last month at UFC 199 and he is 1-1 since returning to bantamweight. He is 3-2 in his last five fights and both of those defeats came in title fights. Rivera (19-1) is currently on an eighteen fight winning streak and his last three wins have come in the UFC. His most recent win came in January as he scored a decision victory against Iuri Alcantara.
