Bellator will be returning to the SAP Center in San Jose, California on November 19 and the fight card will be headlined by a title fight as Michael Chandler will defend the lightweight title against former UFC champion Benson Henderson.

The fight booking was made official by Bellator today in a press release.

Tickets for this Bellator fight card will go on sale to the public on Friday, September 2 at Bellator.com, as well as SAP Center Box Office and Ticketmaster. The Bellator Nation pre-sale offer will begin on Thursday, Sept. 1.

Chandler (15-3) became a two-time Bellator lightweight champion in June when he defeated Patricky “Pitbull” Freire by knockout to claim the vacant 155 pound title. He is currently on a three fight winning streak and two of those wins have come in the opening round. Henderson (24-6) secured this title shot by defeating Patricio “Pitbull” Freire this past Friday night at Bellator 160. He is 3-1 in his last four fights and has gone 1-1 in Bellator.

The current Bellator 164: Chandler vs. Henderson fight card is below.

Michael Chandler (15-3) vs. Benson Henderson (24-6)
Michael Page (11-0) vs. Fernando Gonzalez (25-13)

Bellator signing UFC guys to big contracts is worth it. Bc of that their attendance, gate, and ratings are higher than they’ve ever been.

Dynamite 1 had close to 12k attendance and 715k gate, 149 had 13,209 attendance and about 1.2 million gate. Bellator Italy had over 13k attendance and over 1 million gate. Bellator 154 over 11k attendance and about 1 million gate. Dynamite 2 had 12k attendance and over 1 million gate, London, 12,311 attendance and over 1.1 million gate. And a ton more Bellator events have done very well. They have had a lot of sell outs too.

They also have good international broadcast deals and sponsors. Bellator MMA is doing just fine. Actually more than fine. Ppl are always so negative when it comes to Bellator. UFC isn’t the only successful MMA organization. Bellator is doing big things. ONE is doing big things in Asia. Rizin FF is on the rise. KSW is really big in Poland. ONE is huge in Asia.

Bendo’s first two fights in Bellator was a success. Bellator 153 was a sell out. But that’s not that big of a deal bc they always sell out the MSA. Bellator 160 also over 9k attendance and 900k gate.

What are you hearing about Kharitonov’s Bellator debut?

Also what’s the latest with Lorenz Larkin and Georgi K’s free agency?

Have not heard anything on Sergei’s Bellator debut. Larkin and Karakhanyan are currently in the exclusive negotiating rights period. UFC and Bellator would have to waive those rights for the fighters to go out and talk to other organizations.

But Georgi K said last week before his fight he’s received a few offers. That means other promotions have been talking to him for a while. Lorenz Larkin might be talking to promotions too.

Man, WSOF 33 is really stacked! I think Ray Sefo is a better Matchmaker than Ali. IMO he’s done a better job putting together competitive fights.

But I think Sam Caplan should be WSOF matchmaker. And Ray Sefo should just be the president. I hope Sam Caplan and WSOF can work out a deal. I think he said when he was Bellator matchmaker they tried to steal him from them.

WSOF 33 might be the best card they have ever put together. Hopefully WSOF is heading in the right direction.
